DUKE OF ORLEANS (1869 - 1926)
Pretender
to the throne of France got himself arrested in 1890 because
he wanted to do his military service despite the law of exile.
I was sentenced to many months in prison. Photography with
signature : "Philippe, Duke of Orleans. Clairvaux 13th
April 1890". Precious memory of the prince locked up
in the prison of Clairvaux where he served his sentence.
RARE PIECE - good condition despite a few brownish
marks.
